Dina Katabi, PhD: Biosensors for Measuring Disease Activity in MS and Other Neurological Disorders

In a presentation at the Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (ACTRIMS) Forum in Dallas, Texas, Dina Katabi, PhD, the Andrew and Erna Viterbi Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, spoke about how there’s a great opportunity in CNS diseases, particularly multiple sclerosis, to address therapeutics by integrating new types of cutting-edge biosensors and machine learning to measure disease activity.
Katabi explained that currently they have the only sensor that can extract from wireless signals the symptoms and physiological signals patients report purely by analyzing the radio signals in the environment.
