Dravet Syndrome Foundation Hosts Research Roundtable at AES 2019

Article

The 10th annual DSF Research Roundtable will take place on Thursday, December 5, in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF) hosts an annual Research Roundtable prior to the commencement of the American Epilepsy Society (AES) meeting each year. This meeting brings together researchers, geneticists, neurologists and other professionals with a strong interest in the field of Dravet syndrome and related epilepsies. It allows DSF the opportunity to continue to refine their “research roadmap,” which guides DSF in where to focus research support as well as to identify and explore current gaps in research. By doing so, we have the opportunity to address the critical challenges of Dravet syndrome and fund work that will offer the most promising breakthroughs for our patient community at the fastest pace. By offering this consortium of specialists the opportunity to meet and prioritize research needs, DSF can facilitate the development and implementation of better treatment options.

The 10th annual DSF Research Roundtable will take place on Thursday, December 5th, in Baltimore, Maryland. The moderators for the meeting are DSF Scientific Advisory Board co-chairs, Lori Isom, PhD, and Jack Parent, MD, of the University of Michigan, as well as DSF Scientific Advisory Board member, Scott Baraban, PhD, of the University of California, San Francisco.

The meeting is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending, please contact Mary Anne Meskis, DSF Executive Director, at maryanne@dravetfoundation.org.
