At the 2019 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting, Mia Minen, MD, MPH, discussed the opportunities that the increasing number of mobile health users presents for migraine treatment.
Minen pointed out that about half of the 3.4 billion smartphone users have health-related applications on their device. She discussed findings from her study on the RELAXaHEAD mobile app, where users can track their symptoms and receive behavioral therapy to help relieve pain and reduce their migraine frequency.
In this interview, Minen shared her expertise on how these applications can be leveraged to improve access to and use of behavioral migraine treatments.
