This Week on NeurologyLive — December 21, 2020

Here's what is coming soon to NeurologyLive.

Every week, the NeurologyLive staff prepares this preview of what to expect from our coverage. This week on NeurologyLive, there are a number of hot topics that we will be posting throughout the week.

On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, an open letter from Barry J. Byrne, MD, PhD, chief medical advisor, Muscular Dystrophy Association, calls for the prioritization of persons with neuromuscular diseases as early candidates for the COVID-19 vaccination implementation, will go live on the site.

This week’s NeuroVoices features Brian Wainger, MD, PhD, assistant professor, Harvard Medical Center, principal investigator, Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS, Massachusetts General Hospital, who discussed the phase 2 data of ezogabine, a drug which showed decreases of cortical and spinal motor neuron excitability in patients with ALS. He provided in-depth detail of the study, along with the history of ezogabine as a treatment for partial-onset seizures, and how motor neuron excitability can be studied in the future.
