Part of this in memoriam was originally published by our partners at the Consortium of MS Centers .
It is with deep sadness that the CMSC announces that the organization's founder, CEO, friend, and guiding star, June Halper, has passed away. Over the course of a remarkable 50-year career, June’s vision and sheer force of will brought together a team dedicated to making the lives of people living with MS better. The MS community and countless patients and their families are forever changed by her compassion, friendship, and vision. Those at the CMSC are heartbroken but determined to carry on her legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the June Halper MS Nursing Scholarship Fund at the Foundation of the CMSC: https://www.mscare.org/donations/donate.asp?id=24039
CMSC thanks you for your support during their time of loss. The CMSC will continue June's vision of assisting health care professionals in providing the best quality of care for MS patients and their families.
The team and staff here at NeurologyLive also express our sincerest and deepest condolences to the Halper family and the team at the CMSC. Just as the Consortium was built on the years of hard work and unbridled enthusiasm of June, so was the partnership between MJH Life Sciences and CMSC. We, and the field of MS, will miss her unmatched desire and focus to improve the lives of patients, and elevate those who are doing the work in disease care and management. She worked tirelessly to create resources to benefit the community that treated patients with MS, and her frequent collaborations with NeurologyLive in our efforts to do the same were always immensely appreciated.
Through this partnership, and at events like the CMSC Annual Meeting and the Giants of MS® awards ceremony, we will do our best to continue to carry the torch that June carried and walk the path she laid before us. She will be greatly missed.
