At the 2019 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting, Mia Minen, MD, MPH, sat down with NeurologyLive to discuss the behavioral therapies for treating migraine.
Minen, an assistant professor of neurology and director of headache services at NYU Langone, stressed that while behavioral treatments for migraine are effective, they are not often utilized.
Patients often encounter issues with treatment access or cost as well as issues surrounding migraine stigma. Minen discussed ways to better incorporate this treatment and strategies to improve payor compliance.
